The United States Sustainable Development Report 2021 revealed that US states are lagging when it comes to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by 2030. States are not improving as quickly as needed, and 20% of indicators in every state are going in the wrong direction. To add to this, the construction sector is contributing to 40% of the global carbon emissions, thus creating a sense of urgency for climate mitigation for real estate developers. The US construction sector contributes:23% of air pollution 40% of drinking water pollution 50% of landfill waste 160 million tons of non-industrial waste every year
BUILDING A BETTER LIVING WORLD and decarbonizing the world will require a monumental and dedicated paradigm shift toward sustainability. Homz is spearheading this shift on both the micro and macro levels. On the micro side, the communities are inspired by the WELL building standards coupled with responsible sourcing and zero waste development practices. On the macro side, Homz is advocating sustainable living by partnering with organizations and actively engaging to develop corporate leadership in ESG issues.
